Air India Flug von Frankfurt nach Hyderabad

We have taken an Air India flight from Frankfurt via Delhi to Hyderabad (AI120) on 30th December 2010. We were explicitly told in Frankfurt that we can collect our luggage in Hyderabad directly and we were more than stunned when we were told by Delhi airport personnel that we first need to collect our luggage at the baggage belt in the port of entry (Delhi). And this is where the odyssey began. No one at the airport seems to communicate with each other or does have any clue about his/her job. Always when we waited at a counter they sent us somewhere else. After 20 counters we stopped counting and my wife is pregnant and we could hardly stay afoot or awake.

Obviously the luggage didn’t come and we actually had to fight to just get our attention for three hours for a simple baggage claim report (more incompetence or more useless bureaucracy is impossible). The next shock came when we were told that Air India cancelled our connection flight. Apparently this connection was cancelled over 1 month ago and the lady that called me four weeks ago to advise me that our flight from Hyderabad to Frankfurt on the 17th December would fly earlier did not even bother to tell us. Another 4 hours we had to fight for our mere attention but the managers who have the sole right to book us to another flight were hiding because they saw a big mob obviously annoyed after days without sleep and no customer service for which we paid long ago. Now we've been handed 7 telephone numbers of which no one picks up the phone. The email address shown on the baggage claim report is not valid. I looked for plenty of other email addresses and phone numbers and still no response. We were told to get our luggage today at 2pm but nobody showed up and nobody called.

When we talks to friends and colleagues that we fly with Air India, they are shocked because everyone had bad experiences and will never fly again. PLEASE everyone, do refrain from flying with these incompetent idiots. They need to be banned from service. We will never fly again as we were treated like dirt and sent from one counter to the other until we finally had to explode to get our attention.
