Iberia Flug von Wien nach Durban

Flight numbers: IB 3575, IB 6051, IB 6050, IB 3576

I recently flew with my wife and my son on flight IB 3575 and IB 6051 on the 15th of November to Johannesburg. We were extremly upset and disapointed with the whole experience. The reasons being, we arrived in vienna to find out that we will have to collect our luggage in Johannesburg of which we was not informed. When we would have known this information earlier, we would have made other arrangement from Johannesburg to Durban, being that we had to wait for nearly ten hours with our bags in Johannesburg for our return flights to Madrid.

We received nothing to eat or drink from Vienna to Madrid or Madrid to Vienna on our way back. This is a three hour flight. We also had domestic flights with South African Airlines and British Airways on a short one hour journey where we received something to eat and drink. When we arrived at our seats on the flight from Madrid to Johannesburg we found out we did not have our reserved front row seats in fact, we were all on different parts of the plane. We then received something to eat and drink at 2.30am which was much to late as we were sleeping. There was also one TV in the middle that we could not see, where as the picture quality was poor and I could not hear as my headphone adaptor was broken on my seat.

Waiting in Johannesburg Airport for nearly ten hours with our bags and our son who is 22 months old, we repeatedly ask for conformation of our reserved front row seats of which we was assured was no problem. We then borded our plane to find out once again that we did not have front row seats. The reason why we reserved the front row seats is because our son is under two years old and there is a little more space. As we were informed he is not old enouth for his own seat. Front row seats makes our journey more comfortable for us and him. We then reached Vienna to collect our luggage to find out that our bags were squashed and torn. We fly two or three times a year with different airlines to South Africa and this is the first time with Iberia and also the first time that I had to write a letter of complaint. I am sorry to say this was a extremly unconfortable and unpleasent experience.
