British Airways Flug von Munich nach Newark

On BA from Munich via LHR to Newark we encountered only problems. The flight in MUC was delayed therefore giving us little time in LHR to get from T1 to T4. The A319 was very shabby and there were no in-flight magazines. Service on the 2hr flight was also sparse.

The staff at LHR gave us a shrug of the shoulders when we asked if there was any point in running for the "stupid" bus which brings passengers from T1-T2-T3 to T4. They couldn't have cared less if we had missed or flight or not. Nobody could tell us if the EWR flight was also delayed. Lack of personell and INFO display screens.

Eventually we made the flight (after waiting in a long queue for 30 mins with 100's of other impatient passengers) only to find out that our entertainment system wasn't working.

I'm still in a fight with BA over this because this is a serious breach of safety seeing that all safety instructions are done via video on the entertainment systems and not manually by staff on BA. The crew were ok, although we heard 4 different stories as to why the screens weren't working. 7hrs of complete boredom and delayed arrival at Newark.

All was working on the return flight, however we were delayed and our baggage didn't arrive in MUC!

Moral of the story......if you are flying to NYC, fly directly from MUC. Transfers in LHR are a pure nightmare (not my first experience there). For flights directly from LHR without transfer could be different.....at least I hope they are for our fellow EU British citizens :) !!
