Qatar Airways Flug von Doha nach Kilimanjaro Airport

We choose this airline because of its good reputation. After a stop in Doha we flew for another stopover to Dar Es Saalam (July 3rd, flightnumber QR 0546). After landing we were told, the plane got a problem, we should wait some minutes, 15, then 30 minutes. Then we were informed we should leave the plane and go to the waiting hall. And there we waited: 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours. Nobody informed us how to continue, nobody from Qatar Airlines appeared! After 3 hours an agent of Qatar Airways appeared and told us the plane was unable for take off to Kilimanjaro Airport and Qatar Airways had no possibility for an alternative plane. We should go to a hotel for starting next day.

What a solution! Most of us (80) had a fixed schedule for the next day (safari or climbing the Kili …). A fellow passenger from Switzerland told him, that there was a possibility to take a plane from the local Precision Airlines to bring us to Klimanjaro Airport. The agent didn´t knew of the possibility. After this information he disappeared. Altogether it took us 3 hours more for waiting. We did not get something to drink or to eat! (And it was very warm there!) In the meantime we waited more than 6 hours! What a service! Then the agent came and told us we could eat a little bit.

After 2 hours more he came back and suddenly he told us, there was a possibility to fly with Precision Airlines. So we started late in the afternoon and landed after sunset. More than 10 hours later than scheduled! Our expected landing-time was 09:50 in the morning! It was our first time (and perhaps our last time) we choose Qatar Airways and we are very disappointed about this "service"! On the seat-monitor we could read: “QA is committed to providing the best levels of service to exceed the expectations of our passengers.” What´s to believe?
