Dutch Antilles Express Flug von Bonaire nach Curacao

The airline DAE on the ABC islands is run like a Tuk-Tuk shared taxi.
Don´t rely on beeing at your destination in time.
Our experience on May 22, 2012: We had booked and paid the afternoon direct flight from Bonaire to Curacao scheduled for departure at 4 p.m. and arrival at 4.30 p.m. One day before the flight time was confirmed by the airline on the phone.

On the airport counter of DAE we learned that the departure will be delayed to 5.30 p.m. After boarding we were informed that the flight was not going to Curacao but to Aruba first. After this unvoluntary visit to Aruba we landed on Curacao at 6.45 p.m. and almost missed our connecting flight. The interior of the plane was old and dirty, full of spit out chewing gum.

DAE is the cheapest airline on the ABC compared to Divi Divi and InselAir. The reason that we did not take Divi Divi was that they lost a plane two years ago due to technical failure and overloading. The captain and his plane are now on the bottom of the sea. InselAir was booked out.
